Venues

Candidates may sit for the Written Parts of the Competency in Optometry Examination in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and other capital cities if suitable arrangements can be made), New Zealand (Auckland), United Kingdom (London), South Africa (Johannesburg) and the USA (Washington).

The Clinical Parts are conducted at one of the Schools/Departments of Optometry in Australia or New Zealand. The 2008 venue for the Clinical Parts is the Department of Optometry & Vision Sciences, the University of Melbourne, corner Keppel & Cardigan Streets, Carlton, Victoria, Australia.

Clinical Parts

First Session:

    * Clinical Skills Testing: 8 July 2008
    * Patient Examinations: 2 days(exact dates to be confirmed) during week commencing 14 July 2008 (2 patient examinations each day)
    * Closing Date: 9 June 2008

Second Session:

    * Clinical Skills Testing: 11 November 2008
    * Patient Exams: 2 days (exact dates to be confirmed) during week commencing 17 November 2008(2 patient examinations each day)
    * Closing Date: 13 October 2008
