The Australian federal government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations may be able to assist Australian permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or Australian citizens living in Australia with overseas qualifications who do not meet the requirements for entry to their professions in Australia.

The ASDOT programme assists financially disadvantaged overseas-trained professionals achieve recognition of their qualifications in Australia.
